Description
The OmniKine Human TNF-alpha ELISA can be used to reconize both recombinant and naturally produced (by human) Human TNF-alpha proteins. The following antigens were tested at 50 ng/ml and showed less than 1% cross reactivity. • Rat: TNF-alpha. Those tested at 50 ng/ml and did not showed significant interference or cross reactivity. • Human: 4-1BBL, 4-1BBR, BAFF, TNF-beta, sTRAIL, sTRAIL-RI, TWEAK, TWEAK-R, VEGF, CD40L, sFasL, sRANKL, sTNF-RI, sTNF-RII.

It is produced chiefly by activated macrophages, although it can be produced by many other cell types such as CD4+ lymphocytes, NK cells, neutrophils, mast cells, eosinophils, and neurons. TNFb or TNF beta also bin on TNF receptors for Th1 activation.
