Rats are used to make rat monoclonal anti mouse antibodies. There are less rat- than mouse clones however. Rats genes from rodents of the genus Rattus norvegicus are often studied in vivo as a model of human genes in Sprague-Dawley or Wistar rats.
Description
The OmniKine Rat EGF ELISA can be used to reconize both recombinant and naturally produced Rat EGF proteins. The following antigens were tested at 50 ng/ml and showed less than 1% cross reactivity. • Human: EGF • Murine: EGF. Antigens tested at 50 ng/ml and did not showed significant interference or cross reactivity are : • Human: Epiregulin, HB-EGF, Heregulinbeta-1, Artemin, Betacellulin, Epigen.
